| Burley has everything you would expect from a traditional, old, New Forest village. Resting in a small valley, surrounded by an area of true outstanding natural beauty. Burley is known for its witchcraft associations in the past and some shops carry this into the 21st century with their decor. Burley is the home of New Forest Cider at the Cider Farm in Pound Lane. It is tucked away behind the Forest Tea Rooms just passed the village hall.
In Burley, it is common to see ponies, donkeys and cows meandering up the main street on their way to pastures green, but please note, it is important not to feed them as they can become aggressive. |
